Public counter. Open market.
ytperps turns a video's view count into a perpetual you can long or short. The index is YouTube's own number, the pool takes the other side, and every position is settled by the counter itself — not by anyone's opinion of it.
How it works
Three steps, and the last one isn't a vote. It's a number the internet publishes on its own.
Pick a drop
A market opens on a real YouTube video, with its real view count already ticking. Price is quoted in thousands of views: a mark of 412 means the market says 412,000.
Take a side
Long if you think it runs hotter than the market is pricing. Short if the hype is louder than the actual reach. Up to 3× on your margin, in or out any second.
Let the counter settle it
At the settlement timestamp the oracle reads YouTube's own counter one last time. Every position is decided by that number and paid out in SOL.
Anatomy of an attention perp
A perp on a counter that only goes up needs one thing to stay honest: funding. Here's the whole machine.
- Index
- The live public counter, in thousands. 318,420 views is an index of 318.4. It ticks when the platform ticks, and it only ever goes up.
- Mark
- Where the market thinks that counter lands at settlement. A mark of 412.0 is traders pricing 412,000 views. This is the price you get filled at, and the one hype actually moves.
- Funding
- Mark sits above index for as long as the counter still has room to run — so longs pay shorts, every hour, for holding the upside. Long a drop and you're paying carry: the counter has to beat the priced-in path, not merely go up.
- Settlement
- At the market's timestamp — 24h, 72h, 30d — the oracle takes a final read and mark is forced to index. Longs above entry get paid by shorts below it.
- The counterparty
- The pool. It takes the other side of every position and charges funding for the privilege — which is why a single trade can never win more than 5× its own margin, and why the book stops taking orders it could not pay out.
Why the market can't be talked into anything
The oracle is a public number
Settlement reads YouTube's own counter through the Data API at a fixed timestamp. There is no panel, no resolution vote, and nothing to argue about after the fact.
Funding punishes the crowd
When everyone piles into the same side, that side pays every hour. Consensus gets expensive fast, which is exactly what keeps mark tethered to reality.
The money is on-chain
Margin is deposited to the pool address on Solana and paid back to the wallet you signed in with. Every deposit and every payout is a transaction you can pull up.
Open markets
Real videos, real counters, trading right now.
Live from the oracle.
Size a position
A video is marked at 412 — the market says 412,000 views by Friday. You've read the comments and you think it's closer to 620,000. Here's what that is worth on 0.05 SOL.
Excludes funding paid while the position is open. Wins are capped at 5× your margin — that cap is what lets the pool guarantee it can always pay.
